History
The roots of Hartman Seatrade date back to the year 1775. On 26 September 1775, “Jurjen Jans Hartman” son of Jan Lambertus Hartman was born. Both were recorded as “skipper”. On this the base of Hartman Seatrade is established.
the 7th generation (Jan Hartman) took up the challenge to swap inland navigation for seafaring, as this happened later in life and with a large family we can say that this was a courageous step by a man of strong character, decades of effort and perseverance have resulted in a strong foundation for the 8th generation.
