A drydocking period involves more than just a fresh coat of paint. It is the moment when maintenance, inspections and improvements come together to prepare a vessel for the voyages ahead.
A variety of work was carried out during the Arctic Rock’s drydocking period. The box coolers were renewed, while the seals on the propeller shaft, bow thruster and main engine were replaced. The anchor winch bearings were also replaced.
In addition, a radio inspection and classification survey were carried out. New flooring was installed in the shower, storage area and galley. Finally, a new hatch was installed in the engine room storage area.
Following the successful completion of this drydocking period, the Arctic Rock is ready to resume its operations.
